中学英语中习惯后接动名词作宾语的动词
依据英语习惯，有的动词后接另一动词作宾语时，所接动词习惯上要用动名词形式，而不可以用不定式形式，这种动词主要有：admit 承认 / advise 建议 / allow 允许 / appreciate 感激 / avoid 防止 / consider 考虑 / delay 推迟 / deny 不承认 / discuss 讨论 / dislike 不喜欢 / enjoy 喜欢 / escape 逃脱 / excuse 原谅 / fancy 设想 / finish 完成 / forbid 禁止 / forgive 原谅 / imagine 想像 / keep 维持 / mention 提及 / mind 在意 / miss 没赶上 / pardon 原谅 / permit 允许 / practise 训练 / prevent 阻止 / prohibit 禁止 / put off 推迟 / report 报告 / risk 冒险 / sTOP 停止 / suggest 建议 / carry on 继续 / can’t help 禁不住 / feel like 想要 / give up 舍弃 / keep on 继续 / put off 推迟 / set about 开始，着手 / object to 反对 / insist on 坚持 / pay attention to 注意 / stick to 坚持 / get down to 开始认真做 / look forwards to 期盼 / be [get] used to 习惯于 / lead to 致使 / be devoted to 致力于，专用于，等。如：
I don’ t enjoy going on holiday as much as I used to. 我不像以前那样喜欢度假。
I keep thinking about Joe, all alone in that place. 我总是想到乔，他一个人一个人在那种地方。
I'd advise buying your tickets well in advance if you want to travel in August.如果想在8月份去旅游，我建议及早购票。
He suggested going together in one car. 他建议大伙一块坐一辆汽车去。
I hate him but I can’t escape meeting him. 我讨厌他，但又不能不见他。
They are practising singing the new song. 他们正在训练唱新歌。
We decided to put off leaving. 大家决定推迟动身。
I don’t feel like cooking. Let’s eat out. 我不想做饭, 大家出去吃吧。

注意：有些动词后虽然不可以直接跟不定式作宾语，但可接不定式作宾语补足语；而有的动词（如consider, understand, discuss等）虽不接不定式作宾语，却可接“疑问词+不定式”作宾语。如：
He advised me to buy a computer. 他建议我买台电脑。
